Consumers can exchange multiple products or an order product and a new order will be created for the exchanged product.If the exchange amount is greater than the new product amount, the additional amount is paid using WooCommerce's default payment method.Users can send any number of exchange requests within the available days, if they have not been processed.This means that users can request a replacement for an ordered product multiple times, even if any previous return requests have been completed.
Add custom status to mark your ongoing refund and exchange process
There are multiple steps required to complete a refund or exchange. Merchants can use the WooCommerce Refund and Exchange plugin to define custom statuses for each step.Refund Request, Refund Approved, Refund Cancelled, Exchange Requested, Exchange Approved, Exchange Cancelled, etc. are some of the most common states.
When a customer seeks a refund, the order status changes to "Refund Requested". When a refund request is authorized, the order status changes to "Refund Approved", and when it is rejected, the order status changes to "Refund Cancelled". Likewise, businesses can specify several states according to their preferences.
Refunds and exchanges are available after the specified number of days after the order has been completed. Once the order status is complete, the user can seek a refund or exchange.If one of the requests is in progress, no more requests can be sent. Merchants can enable or disable multiple refund or exchange requests for an order.If the merchant turns off multi-request processing, only one refund or exchange request per order will be processed at a time.
